Athens

Athens, a vegan-friendly destination has a variety of restaurants that cater for vegans. You can find vegan restaurants in the area called Monastiraki.  In this area you can find numerous vegan friendly establishments including Falafel, The Vegan Kitchen, Plant Food and Friends and The Vegan Garden.  

Crete

Crete isn't just the place where Minotaurs live, it's also a haven for vegans! Cretan cuisine offers plenty of vegan-friendly dishes including the traditional Cretan salad and souvlaki made from eggplant or zucchini instead of meat. If you're looking to try something new, head to the popular market town of Hania where you can try a vegan dish called Halloumi at one of its many restaurants such as The Olive Branch or The Olive Tree.

The Weather

Greece has beautiful weather all year round which means you can enjoy vegan tours all four seasons while you're visiting! Pack your shorts, tank tops, sandals, sunglasses and sunscreen – the only thing you might be missing is a jacket or sweater for when it gets cool at night.

Greece has a mediterranean climate with warmer temperatures in the summer and colder temperatures in the winter. But, the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki have been recently considered as having one of the best weathers in Europe. It has a mild climate for most of the year.
