Vegan travel has never been easier than it is today. In recent years, the number of vegan travelers has surged and restaurants, hotels, and numerous vegan tours are quickly responding to this trend.

Travelers are increasingly looking for vegan-friendly destinations and tour operators are eager to provide them with an unforgettable experience. Many of us have our own personal list of favorite vegan travel destinations. If you’re planning to have your travel vacation in Asia, then here are some locations you can visit.

Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is one of the most vegan-friendly cities in the world. You can find vegan street food across the city and many restaurants offer vegan options. One of the best things about Bangkok is that there are so many things to do! When you are not eating, you can go shopping at Chatuchak Weekend Market or take a boat trip on Chao Phraya River.

Bangkok offers plenty of vegan friendly street food and some great Asian veg restaurants. Furthermore, there are an increasing number of shops with organic products available throughout the whole city. If you like shopping for special ingredients then Bangkok is definitely your place to be!

New Delhi, India

New Delhi has a great vegan scene due to its large Hindu population who generally follow a vegetarian diet. You can find many excellent restaurants serving purely vegetarian food as well as special dairy-free dishes for vegans. New Delhi offers such a wide range of activities and sights that it is definitely worth spending more than a few days.

India has a strong tradition of vegetarianism, so it's not surprising that it would be one of the top destinations for vegans. The country has a large amount of options for plant-based eaters, including the widespread dosa, a rice and lentil pancake which can be eaten with chutneys and sambar (a vegetable soup). One popular option is Udupi restaurants, which serve meals that often feature lentils and vegetables in their cuisine.

Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo has the most vegan restaurants per capita in the world! There are hundreds of options for vegans in the city and it's become a mecca for plant-based eaters. Japan is known for its sushi and sashimi, both products of fish. But if you are looking for good fish-free sushi check out Sushi Zanmai or Wasabi.

Many people visiting Tokyo do not realize that there is an entire district that is completely vegan-friendly. Okubo is a part of Tokyo's Shinjuku district and has many restaurants serving delicious meatless food at reasonable prices. It's definitely worth checking out if you want to try different kinds of vegan cuisine while visiting this city. 

Taiwan

Taiwan is one of the most vegan-friendly countries in Asia. The island is home to more than hundreds of vegetarian restaurants, with a further 170 being completely vegan. Many of the country's top chefs are committed to serving only plant-based meals, and you can find everything from made-to-order Western food to traditional Chinese cuisine with meat substitutes.

Taiwan's capital city, Taipei, has over 300 vegan eateries, with some restaurants also offering low-cost vegan buffets.These days, it's not uncommon for people to choose their dining locations based on whether they are vegan friendly. Taiwan is definitely a paradise for the plant based eater. Even the street food here will be fully vegan.

Singapore

Singapore is a vegan traveler's dream come true. The city has no shortage of upscale restaurants that serve up everything from tofu-stuffed wontons to tempeh skewers. In addition, there are plenty of budget-friendly options that offer cheap eats at local hawker markets. It's also one of the best places in Asia to buy cruelty-free beauty products.

Singapore is known as a food lover's paradise, and you'll find many restaurants that cater to just about any cuisine. While we all love eating out, cooking at home is more cost-effective and healthier for your body, especially when you control what ingredients go into your meals.

Vacationing is not all about eating specialty food in every place you visit. You can enjoy shopping, staying at the luxury or all-inclusive resorts, enjoy entertainment or visit their vegan national parks.
