How to Host a Vegan Picnic With Friends

Starting to get bored around the house? Maybe it’s time to step outside, shake off that stuffy feeling indoors, and feel the fresh air of an outdoor picnic! You can lay down a blanket anywhere cool and shady, sit down and take your time as you dig into the food that you’ve brought with you. People should go out to picnics more often, both to enjoy delicious food and to spend a relaxing time amidst the beauty of nature.

Inviting a few friends can make the picnic more lively. When hosting a picnic, you can prepare a variety of food that may suit everyone's tastes. but since it’s a picnic, it’s preferred to have finger foods and other dishes that are easy to hold and eat, such as wraps, sandwiches, dips, and the like.

Keep in mind some tips to follow especially when hosting a picnic for the first time.

Pick a nice spot or venue. You can enjoy views on vegan national parks, at a bank of a river aboard a European vegan cruise, or if you’d like to stay closer to home - do the picnic party on your balcony. As long as there’s enough space, shade, cool breeze, and a peaceful environment anywhere can be a perfect spot for a picnic.

Keep the menu simple and delicious- have your menu simple and easy to prepare. A simple appetizer-main course- dessert serving is enough. Since picnic foods are usually ones you can pick up with your hands, you can opt for sandwiches, vegan burgers, guacamole dips, and vegan charcuterie boards.

Since you’re having a few friends over, try to serve a variety of food so there’s different options to everyone’s liking. And don’t forget to bring ice to cool your beverages!

And lastly, leave nothing behind. Keep all your trash as you pack up and go home. Don’t forget to have a good time!
