3 Easy Vegan Snacks You Should Try

Tired of the usual ‘fruit-and-almond milk’ combo? When there’s nothing else on the ‘mental menu’ you have according to the vegan snacks you know how to make, it’s easier to pick something less nutritious (like oreo. It’s vegan anyway, right?).

To break that habit, it’s time to relearn new recipes. Below are our favorite vegan snacks for the month:

Turmeric Snack Bites

Turmeric and chocolate? Yes, it’s possible. In a food processor, add in 70 grams walnuts, 70 grams unsweetened desiccated/shredded coconut, about 8 pitted medjool dates, roughly chopped, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder and a teaspoon of ground turmeric to instantly turn this sweet delight into an anti-inflammatory snack. Don’t worry, with the quantity of cocoa in it, we guarantee you’ll only be tasting chocolate.

Pan Fried Cinnamon Bananas

These aren’t just easy to make - they are also good snack alternatives for moms who have a hard time encouraging their child to eat fruits. It’s also a good option especially when you have a lot of ripe bananas that you simply cannot finish in a week. Simply prepare two bananas on a greased pan, cut them in slightly thick slices, add in a dash of cinnamon and add in the sugar (about 2 tablespoons). You may also opt for a healthier alternative like Splenda. Photo Credit: myrecipes.com/extracrispy/pan-fried-cinnamon-bananas-are-ridiculously-easy

Marinated Mushroom Kebabs

Saute 12oz of small button mushrooms in a pan and simply add in olive oil, maple syrup, some pepper flakes, thyme, oregano, and basil. Put on a stick, serve and enjoy. It’s the easiest and most filling way to relish a savory snack.
