Four Fabulous Plant Powders

Plant-based powders are truly one of the most important staples when it comes to vegan foods. From mixing them in smoothies and shakes, adding them into rich sauces, to using them in delectable desserts, they add a good dose of nutrients into food even in small amounts.

It’s no wonder they’re very popular nowadays, and chances are, you’re interested in trying out some vegan snacks and meals using these powders! Read on for tips on which powders can get you started.

1 - Plant-based Protein Powder

Protein powders have been in trend the last few years, and when incorporated into your daily diet correctly, they do make a helpful difference. Protein, after all, is one of the foremost components of our bodies, being responsible for muscle repair and being the main building block of our bones, skin, and blood.

Getting your day’s requirement of protein can be done the cruelty-free and low-cholesterol way with plant-based protein powders. These powders are sourced from nutrient-potent sources such as coconuts and peas.

2 - Beetroot powder

Another favorite amongst plant powder believers is beetroot powder, and it truly deserves such devotion. Studies show that beets are great for improving blood flow, regulating blood pressure, and decrease the risk of obesity and heart problems.

You get all the goodness of beets with even just a couple of teaspoons of beetroot powder added into a smoothie or into some red velvet cupcakes. The best part of all is that it has a lightly sweet flavor and a very pretty color - very encouraging to the tastebuds and the eyes to get healthy.

3 - Turmeric Powder

Turmeric powder is hailed for its bioactive compound called curcumin, which is a great antioxidant. It is known to help with inflammatory problems such as arthritis and with taking care of the liver, thanks to its ability to counter damage caused by toxins.

It’s important to note, however, that one should be careful in mixing turmeric into your daily diet as too much may upset your stomach. Go easy on it when mixing it into your next vegan curry dish and relish its flavor and benefits.

4 - Maca Powder

For the last 3,000 years or so, Maca powder has been cultivated in the Andes Mountains of South America. More recently, however, it has gained a reputation as a tasty plant powder that’s great for getting a good amount of vitamin C, iron, potassium, and copper into your diet. It’s also lauded for its positive effect on women’s hormones and may help with improving the libido.

Thanks to its neutral nutty flavor, it’s easy to add into just about anything. It’s generally recommended for adding into chocolate desserts and oat-ey baked treats, but can very adaptable if you want to experiment, too.

Has this list got you excited for snack time? Go ahead and give these powders a try. These are just some of the amazing plant-based powders that you can add into your daily meal preparations for an added burst of flavor and health.
